Committed to providing a learning experience that is rich, varied and responsive to the ambitions and aspirations of students, Rosedale has good facilities including bespoke accommodation for Mathematics, Business Studies, Information and Communication Technology, Science, Design Technology and Engineering.
The students also enjoy good sporting amenities including a high-tech floodlit synthetic turf pitch and fully refurbished sports hall. We also offer learners an extensive range of extra-curricular activities, encompassing vocational and academic subjects, together with a series of visits and off-site events throughout the year.
Rosedale offers an outstanding curriculum which is carefully tailored and personalised to meet individual needs and is leading the way in terms of the progress each student makes during their time at the College. We use a wide range of teaching approaches to encourage the engagement, enjoyment and interest which are essential to good learning. To ensure all students are treated justly and have equal opportunities to learn, our Teaching Partners provide expert help for students who may be experiencing difficulties. Special provision is made on an individual basis according to the particular circumstances of the student.
During Key Stage 3, all students follow the National Curriculum, which includes English, Mathematics, Science, Information and Communication Technology, Religious Education, History, Geography, French, Art and Design, Drama, Music, Design Technology, Physical Education (PE) and Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education (PSHCE).
At Key Stage 4, students study English, English Literature, Mathematics, Science, Information and Communication Technology and take part in Physical Education. There are a variety of options available and all students continue to follow a course in Religious Education and Citizenship. In addition, students are offered a range of vocational options, designed to be as open and flexible as possible to enable students to make choices to suit their aptitudes and interests, providing a solid base for further education prospects.
